Fourth Congressional District candidate Steve Obsitnik was in Fairfield Friday, and he greeted residents who were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy
Obsitnik stopped briefly at the Sherman Green parking lot to talk to storm victims who were waiting for the Connecticut National Guard to bring them closer to their homes on Fairfield Beach Road.
Since the storm, Fairfield Beach Road residents have not been allowed to return home because of safety reasons.
Obsitnik said his Westport home survived the storm, but said his uncle in New Jersey lost his home.
